So we have a location, we have the young people and we have a programme; but we're still missing a vital part: Livewire needs you! We're looking for group leaders for the Summer 2006 Livewire programme.
The role of a group leader is to facilitate discussion with groups of 10-15 teenagers. The leader is not necessarily there to answer all the young people's questions, but perhaps to question some of the answers that they suggest. Training will be provided, and the leaders work together to achieve the goals of the event.
The group leaders are also required to be involved in co-ordinating games, drama, and generally mucking-in with the young people attending the event.
Due to the nature of the week within the Livewire team, it is also suggested that group leaders should have endless supplies of energy and be able to deal with a lack of sleep!
Do you think you have these qualities?:
- Good interpersonal communication skills - Able to talk about your own Christian faith - Flexibility and adaptability - Able to work effectively as part of a team - Outgoing - Personable - Able to think on your feet
If you think you've got what it takes and are up for a challenge, then don't hesitate to get your application in!
